This larger mug features a motif following the zodiac signs, or constellations. The Ruri mug features a deep azure color that evokes the night sky. A glossy transparent glaze is applied to the inside to allow the color of the poured liquid to stand out.
This series of mugs features a constellation, or the zodiac sign motif. The series can be used for a variety of purposes due to its thin and lightweight design and large capacity. The pieces with a bisque finish are decorated through a technique called Hotarude in Japanese, which allows the stars in relief to show through. The Ruri (azure) glaze also gives them a finish with a sense of transparency. Meanwhile, the handles take on a lovely crescent moon design. All pieces in the series are glazed on the inside.
